About Us

Bhartiya Gramotthan Seva Vikas Sansthan” was established by a small group of social activists and enthusiastic people who recognize that there is a great need to work for the betterment of the poor community. It got registered under society registration act, rule 21 – A, 1860, Registration no. 1165/1999/2000, F.C.R.A. on 21/02/2000. The Organization had been organized by the activities of social workers and after the registration Organization had tried the social equality and uplift of weak people. Since, its inception BGSVS continues to implement various developmental activities. Organization has done various activities to promote integrated and self – sustaining village society by uplifting the deprived and down trodden, the vulnerable and exploited groups like children, women and aged, put an end to illiteracy make the disease free and economically enriched and to change overall disadvantaged situation to that of a healthy and vibrant society in Bahraich district. BGSVS primarily focuses on Disaster Management, Women Empowerment, Children Education, promotion to girl’s education, Reproductive & Child health and Socio – Economic upliftment of women & dalits. Agricultural Meetings – By the Organization the agricultural meetings have been organized in Atgodwa, Joganiya, Bharha, Baundi, Tigra, Tulapurwa, Uprahanpurwa villages in Vikas Khand Mihinpurwa Shivpur. In these meeting the sowing of seeds and the efforts of protection from insects among Ravi, Jayad, and Kharif Crops. Mission: Ensuring the socio economic development of weaker sections, small and marginal farmers, deprived and debarred women and children towards their rights with the help of various activities especially eco-friendly, health & income generation programs through rights based and remedial approaches. Organisational Infrastructure: There is 18 full time professional staff drawn from social studies and communication. Organisation has sufficient office space in Bahraich at a prime location with all necessary facilities. Office has four rooms with one big hall and a meeting room. Office is equipped with necessary communication and training facilities and a small library for its use. Office has enough parking spaces.
