Our motto is a balanced social structure where one should do work with morality and would get his or her remuneration honestly. Caste bias, gender bias or economical grade should not be the hindrance. So we always help one to make aware within the frame of existing law of land accordingly the want of one' by supplying proper information on the concerning matter so he/she could motivate the members of the family/group/society from where the obstruction raised. We strongly believe all creature is good enough and the root of all problems are the mis-understanding. We also believe WAR IS NOT THE SOLUTION - RATHER SINCERE & LOGICAL ADJUSTMENT PROCESS BRINGS PEACE IN RIVAL GROUPS (this may be as small as personal rivalry or as big as groups responsible for world war.) 10. Background information about the organization: DHRUVH Social Awareness Forum is a legally registered Voluntary Organization having its Head office in New Delhi. The orgn. working for the welfare of the poor & socially and economically weaker sections of our society. DHRUVH Social Awareness Forum has been working at the grass root level since its formation at health, education and environment sectors. Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Educationist, Defense personalities, Service holders, Businessmen, Social workers and Students – members from all stream of the society has found a common platform to uplift the social structure Giving emphasis on the issue of HIV /AIDS, reproductive and child health, gender and sexual awareness & rights, condom distribution and telephone help line, other health problems faced by men and women. Consumer awareness and other legal awareness campaign also a routine work taken by our members. Trying to make people aware not only the rights but the responsibilities as well as a member of the society and the country. National integrity always remains a focus point of every programme organized by the organization. Our targeted population was extended from jhuggi dwellers to schoolchildren, labor class to intellectual policy maker. Various state and national level successful seminars and workshop already boost and heighten our confidence. Members of the organization have received initial training from related departments of AIIMS, MAMC, NACO, SACS, and Delhi Medical Association and worked with other organization like Prayas, Nehru National Youth Center, Rajiv Gandhi Foundation etc, etc. along with a number of state level organizations. Some of our members are the known resource personalities at state and national level of various sectors. Has the experience to run project with various government departments at state and national level. We organized several programs of HIV/AIDS awareness for the prostitute and other vulnerable groups including migrate population and truck drivers as well. We also use to take up case of marriages for the orphan and poor girls, Help the economically backward elders,widows and street children. We use to make people aware about the cause of noise, chemical and other pollution and how we can control on that. Use to motivate and organize general mass for plantation etc.Our organization use to organize “safe traffic”, various “health camp” & “legal camp” programs every year, keeping in mind that accidents, rights & diseases - the most important hazards being faced by societies. 11. Staff strength: In order to maximize the amount of funding that goes to programs, DSAF maintains only a tiny staff, Full time: 5 (1 Communication Officer, 1 Office Assistant, 1 Peon, 2 Social Worker) Other staffs recruited and trained accordingly project to project, first preference from our staff/volunteer panel list and the rest of the vacant/ needed posts from fresh applicants. It takes a lot of pain in recruiting & training its staff and volunteers,& this sincerity already has been noticed & appreciated from various sectors for the deep commitment and discipline working of our staffs and volunteers at grass- route level. Project Directors, the overall in charge of the project and the dealing authority on behalf of the orgn. and nominated from the members of the orgn. & the posts are generally honorary, if not otherwise decided. 12. Future planning: To set up schools,hospitals,vocational training centers, widow & orphan ashram etc. (Land may be donated any part of India & establishment may be named according the intention of donor) ^^^^^^ ORGANOGRAM OF THE NGO DHRUVH Social Awareness Forum’s execution of projects/ program structure is as follows:- DHRUVH Social Awareness Forum (General Body) | Advisory Board >>> EXECUTIVE BODY <<< Board of Patron | Project Director | Projects/Program Staff(s) | Administrative/Office Staff | Resource Personnel Executive Body :The Executive Body elected/nominated by the majority of the general members of the organization. The Body’s responsibilities are to overall supervision, guidance and policy decision. ( Advisory Board & Board of Patrons, to assist E.C ) The Executive Body appoints the Project Director and recruit the other staff as per the need of the specific project with the consultation with the Project D. Project Director : The Project Director is responsible for the smooth execution of the specific project/program and he is responsible towards the outcome of the projects/program. The Project Director is answerable to the Executive Body. The Project Director on regular basis appraises the organization’s activities to the Executive Body. Projects/Program Staff : As the organization is not strong enough financially and it has not been able to keep its entire staff for longer periods and some of its staff has to be taken afresh or from our staff /volunteers’ panel for each project. It takes a lot of pain in recruiting & training its staff and volunteers, but this sincerity already has been noticed & appreciated from various sectors for the deep commitment and discipline working of our staffs and volunteers at grass-route level. The projects/program Staffs are to be reported to the Project Director on daily basis. These Staffs’ assessment and evaluation are being done primarily by the Project Director and if needed executive committee may intervene. The chain of command and the disciplined way of work is our asset. Our previous project success and fieldwork assessment already made us confidant enough to go ahead with any type of NGO related work. Administrative/Office Staff : The Administrative Staff consists of one Office Assistant, one Peon and one Social Worker. They are on regular basis. They do the day to day job of the office. And they are controlled and supervised by the Office Secretary of the organization. Resource Personnel : The Project Director may hire the Resource Personnel(s) on temporary basis as per the need of the specific project/program to make the target group aware about the concerned issues. They usually are the specialist of their subjects. DHRUVH Social Awareness Forum’s members include people from the various strata of the society from qualified Professionals and Social activists to Students, House-wives etc. etc. --------------------------------------------------------

NEED SOCIAL WORKER =========================== HOW TO SPONSOR/ADAPT ONE FULL OR PARTIAL PROGRAMS Ours is an organization with a principal that attitude is the basic and mother of all for any expressed behavior. So we mainly focus to change the attitude towards a targeted desire in any of the sectors, may be health, hygiene, to eradicate a dreaded disease, education, gender equity, rights, responsibility, against family violence, against misuse/abuse any law, for the sake of human rights, population, pollution etc which ultimately end with a positive effect for the person concerned, his family, circle, group, society, nation and ultimately the planet earth. Our programs may be divided into two groups based on support source: 1. Programs sponsored by any one – may be individual, family, groups, trust, foundation, small business entity, corporate house, local civic bodies, state /central government departments, national/ international funding agencies or anyone else having the same outlook for the desired social change. 2. Our own recourses and by raising fund that may include subscription, donation, arrangement of competition, cultural/ entertainment event organization and so on. For a probable sponsor we request to follow the steps for one’s convenience: i. Select a sector/subject you think is most important for proposed reform. ii. Identify the present situation (of that geographical area) and draw the points you desired / dreamed after the reform through attitude and behavior change program. iii. You may mail us the matter including your inputs how the awareness program for the change of attitude should run, both the process & period. iv. If we able to cover the geographical area we will let you know and a discussion would be continued till to finalize the program process, start time, program period, targeted beneficiaries and proposed outcome. v. Before starting the program and after completion of the program a survey generally being carried the organization to get the deferential result. During the program we insist the sponsor to come and physically observe the procedure and to guide our volunteers/workers if anything else needed. After completion of the program a program completion report we use to send to the sponsor described detailing of the process including expenditure status and the outcome. A follow-up program we use to conduct to see the impact of the program and to increase sustainability effect emphasis given on peer group education. Our organization is Registered under section 80G (5) (VI) IT act, 1961, for the exemption till certain level for the tax-payers depending on the sponsored / donated amount. For the foreigners we do not have tax exemption benefit but we are registered with FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) Registration : 231660423 (social) to utilize that donation for the required social cause. Any query on this regard always welcome. *********************** For any awareness program on any social issue sponsored by you cost average Rs. 50,000, which may cover one or more villages, depending on the geographical area. The program will consist general lecture, open house discussion & question-answer session, counseling and later on one help line number will be provided for at least one year so that any query could be resolved on that matter over telephone. To set up a village development center where counselor would be appointed to inform about various matter related to health including RCh, education, self-employment and other personal, familiar and social issues. Various vocational courses also will be started gradually depending on local needs and issues. You can be a member of the program by A) Donation of land B) Take care for the Construction of infrastructure C) Donation of cash, amount solely depending on your wish. Any amount more then Rs. 10,000 (Rupees Ten thousand only) will be acknowledged in public by writing on the wall within the premises of the institution. We are in the process of starting educational institute, Ashram (for old age group and for destitute women), health center etc. If you are interested for any form of social welfare, you are welcome at our office for further discussion on that issue. VOLUNTEER SERVICE: (Anyone may contribute time and labor for social cause) >> For joining as volunteer it will depend on – what skills do you have, what areas are you interested in, how much time do you have to commit to us, etc. It will also depend on what projects we are running and where we most need help. That basically be specific for a certain time when someone is willing to come/ join. Please bear in mind that wherever you will be placed, that will be to assist members of staff, not replace them. It is expected that every volunteer should cover their own fooding-lodging cost. The arrangement may be under our supervision and things depend on case to case basis. For foreigners we do not use to advice on visas (though we take this opportunity to suggest that one should apply for a tourist visa NOT a volunteer visa), vaccinations/medication, etc. This is adviceable that you should seek from experts while in your home country. We have not included tips on where you should/shouldn’t go outside of Delhi - these decisions are one’s own and there are lots of travel guides and other agencies, which may contain comprehensive information and advice.
